DELAY IS DEADLY

Many people today tend to postpone the call to repent and submit totally to the will of God in their lives. This is largely because of their conviction that it is not yet the right time to do so, and believing that there will always be a right time for them when they wish. This leaves them at risk of being caught unawares.

Friends, things may not always work out according to our plans and wishes. A popular maxim says, “Those who are waiting to repent at the 12^th hour do not live beyond the 11^th hour to do that”. Our God is a loving God who always wants the best for us at all times. He is constantly and patiently knocking at the doors of our hearts waiting for us to open for Him so that He can come in and dine with us. Listen to 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “I have given ear to you at a good time; and I have been your helper in a day of salvation: see, now is the good time; now is the day of salvation”. He is telling us today that “now” is the acceptable time to repent and serve him faithfully. Take the right decision today, do not delay any further; do not try His patience any longer.

The enemy (devil) can give you a lot of convincing excuses to keep you from submitting totally to the will of the almighty. He will always make you to believe that you have a lot to lose or that it is practically impossible for you to GIVE UP some pleasures to submit to the ruler ship of Christ in your life. All the same, he will blindfold your eyes to the things you will TAKE UP when you submit to Christ.

Friends, know that what you will TAKE UP is unquantifiable compared to what you will GIVE UP. Of course, he only comes to steal, to kill and to destroy the salvation already won for us by Christ. He will capitalize on your delaying period to confuse you, distract you, oppress you and eventually rob you of your salvation.

What are those giants standing between you and making the right decision today? Can it be the flesh, or the passing pleasures of this world? Is it that particular boy or girl you engage in immoral conducts with? Is it your job, family, pride, self ego? Bring them today in humility before the Holy Spirit. He is more than able to change your story. Now, surely is the acceptable time; do not delay any further because tomorrow might be too late.
