SIN BRINGS SHAME

Imagine a man of honour and integrity, a man people adore because of his high level respectability committing a shameful act, maybe stealing an item from someone’s shop and was caught. Then he is brought before the crowd and stripped naked, with lances of the cane demonstrating on his body. That man has lost his respect forever in that town. He has become a shameful man. That is what sin does to a believer. Whenever a believer commits sin, he is like a man of honour who has been caught stealing, and who will have to face the crowd naked. Sin takes away the glory of God from a believer and renders him empty. Sin tears out the garment of righteousness from the life of a Christian and makes him dirty. Sin makes a believer to lose their respect and honour; to throw away their dignity and begin to walk in shame. Sin pushes a Christian down below his standard. Sin sucks away the confidence of a child of God and makes him operate in fear and shame. Sin causes someone to die mysteriously and shamefully. Sin transforms a powerful man or woman of God into a slave. Sin causes sickness and infirmity. A life of iniquity removes the garment of glory from the life of a child of God. What kind of life are you living? Remember there is a consequence to everything that is done upon earth. Get connected again to a life of holiness. Righteousness will exalt you, because righteousness exalts a nation and sin is a reproach.

Righteousness will pull you out from the mud of destruction. it will destroy the hand of the devil holding you down.

Righteousness will establish you as an authority. Righteousness will bring glory and respect to you. It will enlarge your vision and equip you with all you need to accomplish them. Righteousness is all you need to be victorious over the tactics of the devil.
