Nine people are reported to have died in the Ghana’s second largest city, Kumasi.
The deaths are said to have happened due to a stampede at a party to mark the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Ghana’s Joy F.M. reports that the stampede happened at the Asawase Community Center in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Most of the dead are reported to be females in what is said to have started when a fight broke out at the center.
