Its ironic or funny rather ..people want to move with the whole 21st century trend .......

1. bear children out of wedlock and refer to the mothers as baby mamas.
2. wear very skimpy revealing dresses and its fashion, now its all about what you have in mind.
3. cheat people with the belief that one has to step on a few toes to get to the top.
4. parents now support their children having girlfriends as early as primary school.
5. women empowerment: all of a sudden ,women find out they are now equal to men and should be treated equally in the society; they want to be in control of the top positions ; a man should now be able to cook his meals and all that(which isn't bad i must say).
6. don't even  get me started on sex,pornography and masturbation.

i could go on.

but we are also religious people and we go to church and pray and also believe the lord can deliver us from "this wicked world" ,yet we are the same people disobeying his word.
 
let us all remember one thing ,,God cannot adjust to the 21st century trends and begin  reason the same way we do.
he  wont adjust his commandments and his teachings to suit our present societal lifestyles.
we cannot claim to understand the way God thinks
Isaiah 55:8-9 says

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 

  so why do we decieve ourselves?

let us also remember

 hebrews(13 vs 7-9)  7 Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace and not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those devoted to them.…

The thing is we have to stop interpreting the word of God to suit our lifestyle, it should be the other way round.
